CDM 2015 compliance checklist

Dutyholder-by-dutyholder questions for live projects. CDM 2015 is law: this list is orientation, not legal advice.

  1. Have dutyholders been appointed in writing where required (PD, PC) and do they know?
  2. Was the client advised of their duties, and is pre-construction information assembled?
  3. Is there a construction phase plan, proportionate, current and reflecting this site?
  4. Has the F10 notification been made and displayed where the project is notifiable?
  5. Are welfare facilities in place from the first day of the construction phase?
  6. Is design risk management evidenced — eliminated, reduced, controlled, communicated?
  7. Are contractors’ competence and resources checked before appointment?
  8. Are site inductions site-specific, recorded, and refreshed when conditions change?
  9. Is unauthorised access prevented and reviewed as the site changes?
  10. Is the health and safety file being assembled as information arises, with a defined owner?

A competent person must adapt it to your organisation before reliance.
